Professional Development Plan

As a health clinician we know how important it is to have a professional development plan that helps us work toward our goals.

Why not challenge yourself by setting some learning objectives and goals in the area of vascular nursing –

these may include

  • getting to all of the education programs for the year
  • attending the study day
  • attending our new look journal club meetings
  • not only attending the conference in Canberra in October but submitting an abstract to present at the conference
  • logging on to the website to look at the newsletter (the December Issue is up now with the dates for education sessions for the year)
  • broaden your public speaking skills by presenting at one of the education nights
  • finding a mentor in vascular nursing
  • being a mentor to others
  • researching a specific area and presenting this to others
  • working on a quality improvement plan
  • watching a vascular procedure
  • learning to do an ABI/Toe pressure

We have provided a professional development plan template that you may like to use Have a chat with a mentor or your manager about them and how you may go about achieving them –

I am always available on education nights before or after the presentations if you would like to email your plan through to me or catch up about your plan I am happy to make some other time one on one
